Successful Stories of E-Commerce

Sweden, the Cashless Economy?

The first country that introduced bank notes in 1661, is now moving to a cashless economy. "I can't see why we should be printing bank notes at all anymore," says Bjoern Ulvaeus. Most cities in Sweden are not accepting cash in public buses anymore. People will need to buy prepaid ticks or  show a phone text message to the driver. It has come to the point that the Gustaf Church in Karlshamn has installed a card reader to make it easier for people to donate some money. Currently, Sweden's economy only contains 3% of bills and coins. However, to some people, 3% is still a great deal of money that is circulating in the economy. Less cash in banks also leads to less bank robberies, which is a positive thing for the country!
